Sevilla have confirmed a deal to sign Bosnia-Herzegovina captain Emir Spahic on a three-year contract from Montpellier, the Primera Division club announced.

Spahic, 30, is due to arrive in Spain before undergoing his medical on Thursday morning.

The defender is one of Bosnia's most capped players and has spent the last two seasons with Montpellier in France having previously played for various clubs in Russia, Croatia and his homeland.
