Argentinos Juniors appoint Borghi as new coach
Claudio Borghi has been appointed as the new head coach of Argentinos Juniors.
He replaces previous incumbent Claudio Vivas, who resigned on Saturday night after his team lost 3-2 to Estudiantes to leave them joint-bottom of the Clausura standings.
Borghi, who coached Colo Colo to become the first team to win four Chilean leagues in a row, takes over the role on a one-year contract.
"Even though I`m back here as a coach and not a player I will surely feel great emotion in the first week," he said.
"I was at this club from 11 years old until I was 21. I grew up there, I was fed there, they made me progress as a player, I spent good and bad times there.
"In the first week, lots of memories will come back, but then we'll have to start working because, if not, that emotion will not last too long."
