Accrington manager Leam Richardson has problems in defence ahead of the npower League Two clash with Plymouth.

Centre-back pairing Peter Murphy and Dean Winnard suffered injuries during the midweek FA Cup second-round replay defeat to Oxford and are rated as doubtful due to respective hip and head concerns.

Both players spent Thursday under the watchful eye of Stanley's medical staff but if they fail to recover in time Aristote Nsiala is expected to revert from right-back to centre-half, while rookie defender Tom Eckersley could also come into contention.

James Beattie is likely to continue in attack after the former England striker completed an hour on his return from injury on Tuesday night, while fellow forward Marcus Carver is available once more having been cup tied.

Plymouth manager Carl Fletcher looks set to hand a recall to defender Durrell Berry.

The 20-year-old full-back lost his place in the side having missed the trip to York due to suspension and was then an unused substitute in the 1-1 draw at Exeter last weekend.

But with Maxime Blanchard serving a one-game ban of his own for a red card at St James Park, Berry is set to make a return to the starting line-up with Curtis Nelson moving from right-back to partner Darren Purse.

Fletcher's options are boosted though by the return to action of left-back Robbie Williams, who played 45 minutes against the Grecians, having been sidelined for over two months with a stomach muscle injury.

Bournemouth loanee Mark Molesley had his loan stay extended earlier this week, meaning the 31-year-old is available for the next three games.
